On behalf of His Holiness Pujya Goswami 108 Shri Vrajrajkumarji Mahodayshri and entire VYO family, this letter is in response to the communication dated 24 February 2013 by the Board of VRAJ to all Pushtimarg Havelis, Acharyas, organizations and prominent Vaishnavs of North America and worldwide regarding the alleged activities of VYO-Boston/VYO-USA (VYO). Concerning the issue regarding Buntyji (Babulal) that VRAJ has elaborated in their letter, VYO would like to clarify the following facts for the benefit of the entire Pushtimarg community of North America:
Initially, VRAJ sent a threatening letter (dated 22 January, 2013) to VYO Boston with a stipulation to remove Buntyji within 5 days because he ran away from VRAJ two years ago. In response to this letter, VYO Trustees and officers had a long conference on 24 January 2013 with VRAJ officers. VRAJ officers continued to insist on the immediate removal of Buntyji and demanded a response within a week. On January 27 2013, VYO-Boston/VYO-USA’s spiritual benefactor and VYO Chairman HDH Pujya Goswami 108 Shri Vrajrajkumarji Mahodayshri responded to VRAJ’s initial communication by sending a four page letter to the board. In the letter which we have attached, His Divine Holiness clearly outlined all the points of relevance regarding the matter at hand with clear guidance, feedback and solution. In return, VYO was expecting an answer from VRAJ and to this date neither HDH Pujya Goswami 108 Shri Vrajrajkumarji Mahodayshri nor VYO have received any form of response.
Instead, on 24 February, 2013 VYO was made aware of a letter containing several wrong accusations and false facts that was circulated by the board of VRAJ to the all the Pushtimarg Havelis, Acharyas, organizations and prominent Vaishnavs in North America and worldwide.
Undoubtedly, VYO and thousands of Vaishnavs were shocked to read the negative propaganda spread by the leadership of a prominent Haveli like VRAJ to the rest of the Pushtimarg community without first resolving the problems at hand with the concerned parties. VYO and the HDH were very concerned with the wrong motive of VRAJ and their lack of respect and acknowledgement of the detailed explanation and anticipated solution and resolution as pointed out in His Divine Holiness’ letter.
It is extremely unfortunate that a respected and leading institute as VRAJ has chosen to intimidate a young organization such as VYO in this manner. We are sure just like us, many Vaishnavs have several questions:
•What is VRAJ trying to gain from this type of negative publicity towards VYO?
•Is this type of behavior good for the Pushtimarg Sampraday at large?
•What is the Pushtimarg community in North America going to achieve from taking sides with one organization or the other?
•Are these values propounded by Shrimad Vallabhacharya Mahaprabhuji?
•With such divisions within our own Sampraday, what values are we teaching the young and future generation of Vaishnavs? Is our Sampraday ever going to flourish in a positive manner?
•Is it appropriate for managers of a large institution like VRAJ to spread false statements and make this into a public issue by ignoring and disrespecting HDH Yuva Acharya Vrajrajkumarji Goswami, whose only intention is to spread the positive message of Pushtimarg?
•VYO wants to be self-sufficient and standing on its own feet. VYO is in process of obtaining permanent Mukhyaji. During this process, when VYO has agreed to remove Buntyji in 5 months, why can't VRAJ wait? VRAJ, till now had not taken any action for 2 years of him running away?
•Every organization has its own operational challenges, however, when an unintentional mistake is made by our own Pushtimargiya organization, should one of our own react with domination and dictation?
•If VRAJ’s intentions were principled, it would have chosen to wait for 5 months respecting HDH request. Isn't this a right way of supporting an organization which is growing?
Indeed, we humbly urge all Havelis, organizations and Vaishnavs to consider these and other fundamental questions for the preservation of our core Pushtimarg values and Sampraday.
Lastly we take this opportunity to reassure the entire Pushtimarg community in North America that as a young and upcoming organization, VYO’s mission is to promote the positive values of Pushtimarg to the Vaishnavs/Hindus of North America, and work towards unity and co-operation amongst all of the respected Pushtimarg Havelis including VRAJ, Respected Acharyas, and Vaishnavs.
